If...

there is one or more people on your friends list who make your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

Free Concert

woot! My husband told me a guy he works with won concert tickets and didn't want them. I thought he said The Black Crowes. I was all, "yeah. sure." He brought the tickets home yesterday. It's the Counting Crows. That is 1,000 times better. Now I'm excited. Well, as excited as I can be to go to a concert at a large venue... an hour away... on a Thursday night.

Ryan has some shows coming up. He doesn't seem to want to cater to my needs though. As much as I want to, I simply cannot drive to NYC. At least not any time soon. By myself. Speaking of Ryan. Personal opinions regarding the music of Miley Cyrus aside, yay for getting his name out there. I'm proud of him. His new album is coming soon.

I'm exhausted

I started a post today with all of this stuff… all of these words that seemed to mean nothing. I can’t put them together. They just seem to be placed randomly on the screen. I used to be so good with words but now it seems I’ve closed so many of them out. I just feel things and I keep them to myself. I don’t know when that started and I certainly don’t know why.

I feel inspired by people who believe in their dream so much that they will do anything to make it reality. That’s how I wish I was and with certain people it just comes alive in me. Their dream. I believe in them. I'm passionate about things that most of you don't care about (very few of you excluded). That makes me hard to relate to and that makes it difficult for me to relate to you. I think that's okay though. You don't have to be passionate about the same things. You really just have to accept the things other people are passionate about. I am who I am and I will never again make apologies for that.

I was coming in here to post about my cat getting out last night and how I felt like I had to pretend I wasn't too upset about it because my (mostly) wonderful husband (minus the occasional kitty escaping and running dog carelessness) was quietly kicking himself because he knew I would never ever forget how he lost my beautiful Serena. She came back though and (once again) I hope that he has learned his lesson (finally). We live by a pretty major road. All I could think about was how just a few months ago she was afraid to go outside and that she wouldn't know how to react if she came upon the busy road. It was terrifying sitting there outside, calling her, all the while thinking about her out on the road, flattened by a car. I was coming here to tell you how I went running down the stairs and out the door at midnight because I felt her outside. I stood out there for five or ten minutes or so. I was about to go back in, resigning to feeling stupid for thinking I could feel her, and saw her head peek through the gate just as I was closing the door.

That's how it is for me. I feel things that I don't talk about. I was so fucking pissed off at my husband last night and I was afraid to express that because I knew he felt bad. I've said it repeatedly, "our cats are not outside cats," "please close the door behind you," and that kind of thing. I didn't tell him that I went outside because I felt her and I really have no idea why I just told you all that.

I get so emotional and so exhausted because I always feel so much without saying anything. I wrap myself around things. I obsess. I get addicted. I feel joy. I feel hurt. I feel. I feel. I feel. I feel with such passion that I can almost touch it. (I realize that sounds extremely sexual but it isn’t how I meant it.) I think if you could see me, some of the time you'd know how I feel but most of the time I don't think you would. I've learned to keep so much of myself to myself and that is a hard thing to unlearn. I used to wear my emotions on my sleeve, man.

I'm not quite sure where I'm going with this. Y’all think I’m nuts, I know. I’m okay with that because it’s probably true. Usually I am a quiet voice that sometimes disagrees or agrees with the things that I read. Most of the time, I do that in complete silence. I'm sure I will continue to do that because I don't really have anything to add. I read these words that other people write about the things I care about and I am near tears. I'm not sure if that's because of the subject matter itself or because I miss being able to express myself. I love words. It hurts so badly to not be able to let them come out.

Reading this back it sounds like I'm depressed but I'm not. I promise you I am not. I am happier than I can remember being for a long, long time. Probably the happiest I've ever been in my life.

I can foresee that I won't be posting much of anything that will mean anything to anybody anytime soon. My voice is insignificant here. (I don't mean on my blog because my voice is the only significant thing here, right? I mean here as in the interwebs.) It's insignificant not because I have nothing to say but because I won't say anything.

The Dark Knight

I can't wait to see this movie. I mean, hell, Christian Bale IS Batman. And seriously how long has it been since the last one? But I'm genuinely afraid I will cry the whole way through it. I tear up watching previews.

Still haven't seen The Incredible Hulk... Edward Norton. I've heard that one isn't as good as Iron Man but that's to be expected. Robert Downey Jr. was perfection.

They said Marty's name on Hair Nation

I found that VERY exciting!

Photobucket

Snagged that pretty little gif from Rockband because I found that very exciting too. *rowr*

Here he is they are doing an old LA Guns song...

(I've been listening to Sirius Hair Nation because Howard Stern is on vaca and I'm on an Axl high.)
